Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Genesis Relocations website (genesismoving.net) and any moving services provided by Genesis Relocations ("Company," "we," "us"). By accessing our site or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services

Genesis Relocations is a licensed interstate motor carrier (USDOT #4208636) providing long-distance household and commercial moving, professional packing, and storage services. All services are subject to a separate written moving agreement.

2. Quote Requests

Submitting a quote request does not constitute a binding contract. A binding price is only established through a written Bill of Lading or Moving Contract signed by both parties. Estimates provided via our online calculator are for informational purposes only.

3. Booking & Deposits

A deposit is required to reserve your moving date. Deposits are refundable with at least 5 business days' notice prior to the scheduled move date. Cancellations with less than 5 business days' notice may forfeit the deposit.

4. Liability & Cargo Protection

As a federally regulated carrier, we provide Released Value Protection at no additional charge ($0.60/lb per article). Full Value Protection is available for purchase and provides repair, replacement, or reimbursement at current market value. Customers must declare items of extraordinary value (over $100/lb) in writing before loading.

5. Prohibited Items

We cannot transport hazardous materials, flammable/explosive substances, perishable food, live plants or animals, illegal items, or items of sentimental value that cannot be replaced. A full list is provided in your moving agreement.

6. Delivery Windows

Long-distance deliveries are subject to Department of Transportation regulations regarding driver hours and road conditions. We provide estimated delivery windows and will notify you of any changes. Genesis Relocations is not liable for delays caused by weather, traffic, or circumstances beyond our control.

7. Payment Terms

Payment is due upon delivery before items are offloaded, unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept major credit cards, certified checks, and bank transfers. We do not accept personal checks at delivery.

8. Dispute Resolution

Any claim for loss or damage must be filed in writing within 9 months of delivery. Disputes arising from our services are governed by the Carmack Amendment (49 U.S.C. § 14706) for interstate moves. We participate in neutral arbitration through the American Moving & Storage Association (AMSA).

9. Website Use

You agree not to misuse our website, submit false information, or use automated tools to scrape content. We reserve the right to terminate access for violations of these Terms.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Genesis Relocations' liability is limited to the value of your shipment as determined under your selected protection plan. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of our website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
